What happens during a market preview?

Love the home, but wondering where the price is? Let’s explain.

You may have noticed some GEST properties advertised as “Market Preview”. This introduces the home to buyers, allows inspections and gives us an opportunity to gather feedback before confirming a published price guide.

Why start with a market preview?

When the market moves quickly, recent sales may only tell part of the story. Buyer demand, competing properties and a home’s individual features can influence what buyers are prepared to pay.

We use comparable sales to inform our initial appraisal, then assess enquiries and inspection feedback to refine our advice to the seller.

Does the seller already have a price in mind?

We discuss expectations and comparable sales with the seller before launching. A market preview starts with an informed appraisal.

If you’re interested, contact Biljana. She’ll share the guidance available so you can assess whether the home could suit your budget.

Can you make an offer?

Absolutely. You don’t need to wait for a published price or another home open.

If the property feels right, ask how to submit your offer. Alongside price, finance conditions, settlement timing and other terms can influence the seller’s decision.

What happens after the first inspections?

We review enquiries, attendance, feedback and any offers with the seller. Together, we decide the next step, which may include introducing a published price guide.

Throughout the campaign, our focus is on clear communication so buyers understand the process and sellers can make informed decisions.
